Pamlico Sea Base is a High Adventure Camp located on the Pamlico River south of Washington, NC. The Sea Base program is centered around sea kayaking treks on the North Carolina Outer Banks and a sailing school on the historic Pamlico River. The Sea Base will also arrange scuba training/certification though accredited local instructors for interested campers.
Our goal is to provide every participant with a unique learning experience that will help develop their appreciation for paddle sports and sailing, environmental awareness, self confidence and fun. We accomplish this goal by using the outdoor environment as a natural classroom, a developed and unique program, trained and friendly staff, and once in a lifetime opportunities for you to experience.
Pamlico Sea Base off-season programs are now open to the general public. A great place to bring any type of group for a one of a kind weekend.

Registration for 2008 is now open. Limited space is available so book your North Carolina adventure quick!
2008 is our 12th year of operation and our programs continue to grow and develop. Some new items in '08 include:
- IRONMAN returns after a great first year with more routes and more options like shark fishing!
- Sailing School is now OUTER BANKS ADVENTURE, still filled full of small boat sailing, but now with keel boat sailing, motor boating, and much more aquatic activities.
- SEA KAYAKING TREKS continue to grow with both the addition of shorter and longer routes, ocean kayaking, and new activities to participate in along the way.
