ACTIVITY WEEKENDS AND RENTALS

Activity weekends are perfect for any Scout Troop or Venture Crew who is looking for something new to do on a monthly weekend campout. For other groups an activity weekend can provide you with a low cost program where much of the planning is already done.  Activity weekends include sea kayaking, cycling, sailing, and having a good time. Activity weekends are available to BSA Troops, Crews, Ships, College and University Groups/Organizations, Non-Profit Organizations, Church Youth Groups, Community Groups and local Businesses

What’s included?

In camp programs include:

K.D. Kennedy Center
Sea Base Shower House
Equipment needed for program
Sleeping for 30 in BSA canvas platform tents. Each tent includes two cots.
Meals with paper products provided
Staff

Off camp programs include:

Transportation from Sea Base to location of trek
All equipment needed for trek including tents, dry bags, meals, cooking equipment, etc.
All meals. Participants in an overnight trek program will need to bring a mess kit and sleeping pad.
First Aid and Emergency equipment

Pamlico Sea Base Rentals

The Sea Base now offers many options for groups who may not want to participate in one of the posted Programs. The facilities and equipment are now available for groups who would like to build their own program, take the kayaks out on their own trip, or just rent the buildings at the base camp for a church youth group or troop or pack family event. All fees are based on a weekend starting Friday late afternoon and ending Sunday by 12:00 pm.

Rentals include:

* Sea kayaks and Bikes: $25 per

All sea kayaks are one person, sit in style kayaks with a gear compartment in the front and rear. Bikes are 17.5 and 20 inch frame Trek 820 hybrids with road tires.

* Sunfish: $30 per boat

* Canoes: $10 per boat

* Sea Base Family Cabins:

The new Sea Base family cabins are a great addition to the property. Great for any group who is looking for a step up from sleeping in tents, use in combination with the Kennedy Center for meetings and weekend training events, or bring the family down for a weekend get away. If your looking for more to do add in a kayak or sunfish rental or ask about private lessons for both.

Cost: $175/$185/$200 Two Available.

Description: Family cabins are three bedroom, two bath log cabin homes overlooking the Pamlico River. Each has a kitchen with a range, micro-hood, refrigerator with kitchenware and a common room. Each cabin can sleep 10.

* K.D. Kennedy Center:

Ideal for either large or small group meetings, use as a common room on campouts, or for a training area.

Cost: $150/$175/$200

Description: 40x60 log cabin conference room overlooking the Pamlico River.

* Sea Base Shower House:

Cost: $75/$100/$125

Description: Nine individual rooms each with a shower, sink and lavatory. Required for any group tent camping at the Sea Base.

Registration and Reservations

To register for a Weekend Program or Rent facilities or equipment at the Pamlico Sea Base complete the WEEKEND REGISTRATION FORM below and submit to the Council Service Center with a $50 non refundable deposit. To pay the deposit via credit card call 252-522-1521 ext 24 after you fax in your registration form. No reservations will be made over the phone. All other fees are due upon arrival. (We reserve the right to ask for full payment in advance for special request weekends or larger groups) You can also check the WEEKEND EVENT CALENDAR below for program and facility availability.
